September 2015 School Supplies

In September we partnered with our friends at Jammin Java once again for a full day of kids rock, face painting, temporary tattoos, a dress-up photo booth and more! The day included music from Einstein's Monkey, Mr. Jon & Friend's and the Rainbow Rock Band!

WHO WE COLLECTED FOR:  

Cora Kelly Elementary (Alexandria, VA) is a small school with high need, last year's (Oct 2014) breakdown had 347 total enrollment with 310 of those students qualifying for free/reduced lunch's, or 89% of their school population. Only 37 students came from households with an income to support paying for their own lunch. We will be having a BIG impact on a small school in need!

WHAT WE COLLECTED: 

School supplies, backpacks, scissors, glue, crayons, markers, paper, rulers, lunch bags, construction paper, notebooks, binders, arts & crafts supplies, basically anything school related! Our hope is collect at the show and donate the majority of the ticket sales to other items that the school has identified is a need for their students!
